The down4sound 500 farad cap bank says you don't need a balance board but I think otherwise. I got this and the plastic case for it and it's been great. The board keeps the cells at a well maintained voltage and stops individual cells from dropping or going to high causing issues. This is a great product and it's local to me so I'd definitely support them!
